Dream High

I'll be a story teller today.
But gonna tell the story of movie but not myself.

Dream High!
The movie I mentioned in the previous posts.
“Dream High” takes place at Kirin High School of Art and follows the lives of students as they aspire to become superstars.
It's an awesome and inspiring movie!
Especially to those who like to watch movies about singing or dancing.

Members of the group, "Dream High"
They actually succeed to form a group at the end.
I mean in the movie.
He's named Jin-Gook 振国 in the movie.
He has another real name as Shi-Hyeok 施赫 (acted by Taecyeon from 2PM).
Always looks outgoing and bright, but deep inside his heart there’s a wound that doesn’t heal.

He was left in an orphanage at a very young age by his single mother. Not long after he was left at the orphanage he was adopted by Hyun Mujin, a chairman of his father’s famous group. Jinguk was not happy in that house, treated like an invisible person. Eventually he dropped out of high school, left home and began living a new life under the name of Jin-Gook. He's s a gifted dancer, but a troubled student at school. The director of Kirin High School of Art ((Bae Yong-Jun)) recommends to Jin-Gook to enroll at his school. There, Jin-Gook’s talents blossom and he now dreams of becoming a global star.

Go Hye-Mi 惠美, a strong and confident girl (acted by Miss A Suzy).
She carries herself as a confident girl, but inside hides a sad past. She dreamed of becoming a world renown classical vocalist, but after the collapse of her family, her father’s bankruptcys she had no choice but to enter Kirin High School of Art. She is loved by Song Sam-Dong and Jin-Gook.
*Do notice her facial expression, looks very woody! LMAO. Good acting on that.

Song Sam-Dong 三东, a very cute country boy (acted by Kim Soo-Hyun).
He lives in the country side and dreams of becoming an owner of a stock farm. He falls in love with Go Hye-Mi at first sight and follows her to Kirin High School of Art. There he discovers his genius like musical talent.
He has the country-boy-style and language at first, then slowly he changed the style, so does the language and slang.

Yoon Bae-Khee (acted by Eun-Jung from T-ara).
A girl who is always overshadowed by Hye-Mi, and so always dreams of becoming stronger than her rival.
Pil-Sook 碧淑(acted by IU).
A girl who has a very nice voice but own the weight of 83kg. She's then fall in love to someone and decided to keep fit.

The photo above (top)  is when Pil-Sook got into the audition and became a student of Kirin High School.
(Bottom Right) After she keep fit, a pretty girl after all.
According to the movie, she rope skipping for 30 minutes every day.
Then, have breakfast like a "Queen", have lunch like a "Civilian", and finally have dinner like a "Beggar".
Have a try on it if you're curious of the effect.

Jason, a talented dancer (acted by Woo-Young from 2PM as well).
He comes back from USA unexpectedly and enters Kirin High School and has great dancing and singing abilities, but has no interest in competing with others. He simply enjoys it.

He’s laid back and even lazy to the point that he can easily fall asleep before a test or an important performance.

Jin-Gook, Bae-Khee, Hye-Mi & Sam-Dong

The triangle love.
Hye-Mi actually thought that she likes Jin-Gook.
But after interact more with Sam-Dong when Jin-Gook is not around, she turns to concern and care Sam-Dong more.
Jin-Gook and Hye-Mi, when they're in the ferry wheel of Japan.
Sam-Dong saw that and he then left the house.

Like this scene actually.
A very good idea. Pretending that you're listening to songs when you're not. That's very useful when you just feel like to be alone or don't want to listen to anyone else.

This is actually an imagination by Sam-Dong.
Yea. The country-boy-style of Sam-Dong.

Duet singing on the song "Maybe" by Sam-Dong and Hye-Mi.

Bae-Khee actually fall in love to Jin-Gook but there's no sparkling of love between them as Jin-Gook loves Hye-Mi.

The Milky Couple!
Jason and Pil-Sook
I've no idea why everyone called them as milky couple.
But they're so cute and funny. Especially Jason, he keeps denying that he likes her.

The funny scene after Jason finally admitted that he likes her.

Jin-Gook & Sam-Dong.
They are friends and love enemy too.
Both of them loves Hye-Mi and decided to let her go.
However, the story ended something like Hye-Mi prefers Sam-Dong.
That's not the ending that I actually want. I prefer Jin-Gook and Hye-Mi. Feeling so down for the ending!

Actually many of them think that Jin-Gook is playing the main role in Dream High. They think that finally there's a movie which the leading girl doesn't end with the leading boy.
But I disagree with that. I actually feel that Sam-Dong is the main one.
Even though Sam-Dong didn't appear in the first episode, but after he appears, there will be his scenes in every episodes. But Jin-Gook didn't.

"Dreaming" by Sam-Dong/Soo-Hyun

I was touched by this part.
Sam-Dong discovered he has hearing problem and it happens spontaneously that he won't be able to hear anything at the particular moment.
When he was about to give up, Hye-Mi pulled him up and asked him not to do so.
Then he went back to the school but didn't want to interact with anyone.

This is the scene when Sam-Dong decided to stand on the stage once again, to ask the stage whether he's still suitable to be on there.
His hearing problem occurred again when he's going to sing, the pitch and beat aren't accurate at all.
Luckily, Hye-Mi helped her just as she promised, she showed her some signals and Sam-Dong finally performed it well.

"Dream High" by Taecyeon, Soo-Hyun, Suzy, IU, Eun-Jung & Wooyoung.

It's not a clear video. And I couldn't find a better one too.
I suppose this video is recorded by a passerby.
It's okay then.
I love this scene a lot (when they cooperate to dance in the crowd to get attention because they faced problems of their songs being suspended by the TV station).
This is one of the awesome part!

There's actually another scene which when they went to Japan, they cooperate to battle dance with the Japanese with the break dance, popping, locking and so on! Really awesome! Must have a look on that.
