Hey 2016 ❣

It's almost been a year back since my last update. Time flies!

My blogging mood suddenly came out of nowhere, so I'm here to blog about my life in 2015.

Decided to join a small company during peak period last year, while studying for ACCA. Yupp, still not passing the exam after a few attempts, YET. There are some times that I thought of giving up when I feel hopeless for passing the exam, but at the same time I feel wasteful for giving up like this as I had already put so much effort and time on this. So let's pray really hard and hope I could pass this time *finger crossed*

Some flashback memories of my life in 2015 :

January & February

Attended Jim's birthday celebration, celebrated Valentine's Day and Chinese New Year! 

Not to forget catching up with friends and paid a visit to Kek Lok Si Temple. 

And I had my hair coloured in red to get ready for CNY! Pretty daring choice I made but it fade too quick.

March & April

My second visit to Penang Hill after all these years, everything is different now, I can't even find anything that could match with those in my old days memory.

Attended my friends' convocation in April, and wondering when will be my turn?
I missed once for my advanced diploma, I don't want to (and will not) miss the last one for my ACCA! 

May to August

After hesitating for months, I finally had my fringe cut, felt like I was acting as a teenager at the age of 16? *chuckle* Anyway, I did not regret for the decision though it made my skin condition turned bad.

These are the months that were full of celebrations ❣
Surprise during the anniversary celebration, and had birthday celebration with Theng and Shannie as well. Not forgetting to mention the little getaway to Cameron after exam (PS: my second visit too!)

August & September

The moments with colleagues.

• Just one month after my getaway to Cameron, my company organized another one day trip to Cameron, and I get to continue my visit to some other sites which I missed in my previous visit.
• Attended company annual dinner a day before my BKK trip at "59 Dining room".

A long-waited trip with BFF like finally! Had so much fun with them during that week, but I'll definitely be back soon! Cause I'm not done with the shopping yet! 

Look forward for another trip with BFF any time sooner?

November & December

Favourite month of the year! You would understand the reason from the photos right?

Overall, my 2015 isn't too bad, cause I have everything I want. Looking forward to have a better and wonderful 2016, and at least let me become a ACCA affiliate this year! *make a wish*

Hey 2016, please be good to me kay? I promise I'll continue to fight for what I want. Fighting !

Finally get to update about my 22nd birthday celebration after a hectic month on the preparation for my exam. Uhm I had a great night gathering with my friends a day before my birthday. It was a potluck dinner, so you can see all those home-cook stuff below.

Heading to Uncle Zack by the beach for my birthday celebration on the next day.

But my luck wasn't that good on that night, Uncle Zack closed due to the bad weather, so we went to Tamarind Brasserie instead.

Surprise by my fellow friends when they showed up with the balloons when I was about to make my birthday wishes.

Theñg's 22nd birthday @ Macalister Mansion

Blogging a very short belated post at this time, it was one of my babes birthday on 529.

Decided to go for high tea as we never been for one together. Suffolk House was our first option, but too bad it was closed on that day, so we pick Macalister Mansion instead.

Saw some ladies aka those "tai-tai" having their high tea session, chatting and relaxing over there. And then 3 of us started to imagine our lives after married, and coming out for high tea with besties in the afternoon.

Yupp! I would definitely love a life like that! ♥♥ *looking forward*

Cwei's Belated 21st B'day Dinner @ the Eighty Eight Restaurant

Celebrated a belated birthday for my babe, Cwei aka the "vulgar queen" cause we couldn't make it on the actual day, which is on the 14th. Our destination this time is the Eighty Eight Restaurant, located at the Kelawai Road. It would be better if you could make reservation earlier, as the tables available are not that much.

Shall let the photos do the speaking now: -

They serve with a very small portion of our so-called salad and their home-made bread together with their specially made burnt butter.

But you should try out their actual salad, the Caesar Salar, which is a recommended item by their chef.

But since we don't like salad, it's not an option for us.

The hot starter: Saute Clams, which the clams were cooked in Prawn Broth, Tomatoes, Brandy, Basil and Parsley.

Now served with the main course: Conchigle.

It served with Perico ham chips, white wine, mushroom, cream; then finish with Iberico shaving and truffle oil. It was our first time trying this kind of pasta, looking very special yet we couldn't finish it.

Typically they served many of their food with truffle oil, I'm not very sure is it all of them, but what I can see is both of the pasta we ordered are.

Stracci. 

It's a home-made rough cut pasta, cooked with duck ragu and garnish with Parmigiano-Reggiano. 

It's a big NO for not eating dessert or cake during a birthday celebration right? So this is it, the Hazelnut Parfait. It comes with the roasted hazelnut dacquoise, butter chocolate sherbet, hazelnut glaze, candie hazelnut and soil.

The top recommendation - Gratin Sabayone

It's an egg based custard with Marsala wine and dry white wine, served with fresh strawberry crisp in it, popping candy and home-made vanilla ice cream on the top.

Decided to celebrate over here at the end, Victoria Rossa English Tea Room.
It is located opposite Harvest Inn, Irrawaddy Road.

Loving the environment here, it's a totally English cottage interior.

The must-have item for 21st birthday! *chuckle*

Honestly, they have limited choices for dinner and the food was so so.

According to the owner, they prepare their food in a healthier way, so the food will taste lighter compared to the outside western food.

But they are kind of famous with their high tea, so you can pay a visit in the afternoon or evening.
