Autumn Vacation // Scotland • London

|| Throwback to Autumn Vacation ||

It was a trip that I had been waiting for all the while, and it has been postponed a few times but finally fixed it on November. One thing about going vacation as a tour is that you don't have much free time, everything is scheduled, sometimes you only have 10 minutes to visit a place. That's why I chose to spend that limited time to take photos, at least those memories were captured down and I will be able to rewind back. I do believe that someday I will have the chance to revisit, and by that time it won't be in the rushing mood! *Promise*

Some of the photos taken during the trip :

** DAY 1 **

** DAY 2 **

A beautiful hall at University of Glasgow

Riverside Museum

** DAY 3 **

Stirling Castle
It was a beautiful weather, managed to captured the view with cloudy sky.
*Pretending the weather wasn't cold at all, in fact it was -2°c*

** DAY 4 **
Edinburgh Castle

Calton Hill (east end of Princess Street)
Instead of going for shopping, we decided to come up here for sunset, but I reached there late, so didn't manage to capture Edinburgh with blue sky.
I thought it would be difficult and far away from the place we were left for shopping, yet I found that it was just 5 minutes of walk away, and there are road signs which lead me uphill.

Sunset at Calton Hill
**captured by my phone, so the photo wasn't that clear*
You will be able to see Edinburgh in 360°, the view is amazing, totally worthwhile to walk up here.

Dugald Stewart Monument

** DAY 5 **
Regent Street.
Transferred from Edinburgh to London by train and spent the afternoon for shopping spree.
This is the street where you feel it is already Christmas !

** DAY 6 **
Hyde Park.
Sneak out to take some photos in the park while the others were shopping at Oxford Street.
I would assume it as maple leaf, always dreaming of myself  taking a walk in a park full of this type of leaves, and dream finally come true.
I was like a happy kid playing with the leaves, felt so autumn ~

The colours are just nice that you don't even need to edit the photos.

~ Continue on the shopping spree after that, too bad that I wasn't able to visit the Winter Wonderland ~

Oxford Street.
Super crowded due to Black Friday Sales.

** DAY 7 **
Somewhere in National Motor Museum (Beaulieu) where I find that it is more attractive.

** DAY 8 **
London checked
Big Ben from a far view, the weather was kinda hazy on that day, photos didn't turn out nice.

London Eye.

Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace.

London Tower Bridge.
**伦敦塔桥 伦敦大桥 傻傻分不清楚; 长大后才知道原来他们是不一样的**

** DAY 9 **

Had some free time to shop in Harrods before going home.

Felt like I was in heaven when I stepped in to this department, it is chocolate everywhere! ♥.

The end of my 10 days 7 nights trip.
Till here then.

Friday, June 3

Barista Haus

Check out this new café in town-- Barista Haus! It is located at a street opposite Prangin Mall, where a row of shop lot is newly renovated, which consists of cafes and restaurants. It is also the same row of shop lot with current hot picks for high tea -- Metisser Patisserie & Tea Room.

Address:  Unit148, George Town, Jalan Pintal Tali, George Town, 10100 Penang.

Dark chocolate // Fruity-green tea waffle
The waffle is slightly crispy, just nice enough.
The special part of the café is that: You can DIY your own art for coffee & chocolate! It's definitely a good experience for visitors.

Wednesday, April 13

Urban Artisan. Co // KOTA (When Francis Meets Rempah) @ Fort Cornwallis

Looking for something cooling on this hot weather? Try out the soft-serve ice cream at Urban Artisan. Co (located at the corner unit of Nagore Square)

Address : Nagore Square 122-C, Jalan Burma, 10500 Georgetown, Penang

- Limited Edition Fish Waffle -
You are able to choose the ice cream and toppings you like.

The next stop of the day : Fort Cornwallis
Address : Jalan Tun Syed Sheh Barakbah, 10200 George Town, Pulau Pinang,

The Fort Cornwallis (MalayKota Cornwallis) is a star fort that the British East India Company built in the late 18th century on the northeastern coast of Penang Island.

Currently, the entrance fee is RM10 per pax, you will get to deduct back the RM10 for each RM20 you spend in the cafe : KOTA - When Francis Meets Rempah (which I will introduce later)

It was a beautiful day with all the cotton-candy-look of clouds.

Some photoshoot moments :

Here is it, the cafe : KOTA (When Francis Meets Rempah)

- Creme Brulee -
It comes with three flavours: Original (center) // Pandan (right) and finally Gula Melaka (Sugar Malacca), which is at the left.

There are black glutinous rice at the bottom of original creme brulee, which make it even special.
It is recommended to start from the original, pandan then gula melaka as it has the strongest sense.
I like the original and pandan the most as gula melaka was quite sweet for me.

You can drop by to try other meals, and I heard another dish : Nyonya is very nice. Due to we were there during tea time, so we didn't order any other meals, but only tried the dessert.

The Lawn Cafe @ Eco Terraces // Blossoms of Light @ Eco Meadows

Recent hot picks of photography locations in Penang : EcoWorld Gallery || Eco Terraces and Eco Meadows.

#1: The Lawn Cafe @ Eco Terraces, Paya Terubong
Address: PT2509,, Jalan Paya Terubong, Paya Terubong, 11060 Paya Terubong, Penang.

I was scrolling thru instagram the other days, seeing people visit those "glass-house cafe' in KL or Johor, hoping that I could had a try some day later, and then now Penang happened to have one in Paya Terubong area. It is the Lawn Cafe by Eco World. The cafe is literary small, not spacious enough to serve the customers, but you can take away the yoghurt or drinks and have some relaxing moments sitting outside the cafe. It is definitely a nice place where you can have a nice chatting with family and friends in the nice windy environment (if you visit in the evening perhaps after 5PM).

The fruity yoghurt that I ordered. Something fresh on a hot weather !

#2: Blossoms of Light @ Eco Meadows
Address: PT 740, Jalan Paboi, Mukim 14, Daerah Seberang Perai Selatan,14100 Simpang Ampat, Penang.

Didn't get the chance to visit "Light Rose Garden" in Seoul yet? It's okay, now you can pay a visit to Blossoms of Light first, it is a month-long event starting from 19th March to 17th April

I went on the first day it launched, so wasn't able to take much photos in the garden due to the overwhelming situation.

The garden is filled with colourful tulips with LED lights at the night.

Hey 2016 ❣

It's almost been a year back since my last update. Time flies!

My blogging mood suddenly came out of nowhere, so I'm here to blog about my life in 2015.

Decided to join a small company during peak period last year, while studying for ACCA. Yupp, still not passing the exam after a few attempts, YET. There are some times that I thought of giving up when I feel hopeless for passing the exam, but at the same time I feel wasteful for giving up like this as I had already put so much effort and time on this. So let's pray really hard and hope I could pass this time *finger crossed*

Some flashback memories of my life in 2015 :

January & February
Attended Jim's birthday celebration, celebrated Valentine's Day and Chinese New Year!
Not to forget catching up with friends and paid a visit to Kek Lok Si Temple.
And I had my hair coloured in red to get ready for CNY! Pretty daring choice I made but it fade too quick.

March & April
My second visit to Penang Hill after all these years, everything is different now, I can't even find anything that could match with those in my old days memory.
Attended my friends' convocation in April, and wondering when will be my turn?
I missed once for my advanced diploma, I don't want to (and will not) miss the last one for my ACCA!

May to August
After hesitating for months, I finally had my fringe cut, felt like I was acting as a teenager at the age of 16? *chuckle* Anyway, I did not regret for the decision though it made my skin condition turned bad.
These are the months that were full of celebrations ❣
Surprise during the anniversary celebration, and had birthday celebration with Theng and Shannie as well. Not forgetting to mention the little getaway to Cameron after exam (PS: my second visit too!)

August & September
The moments with colleagues.
  • Just one month after my getaway to Cameron, my company organized another one day trip to Cameron, and I get to continue my visit to some other sites which I missed in my previous visit.
  • Attended company annual dinner a day before my BKK trip at "59 Dining room".

BKK Trip in September
A long-waited trip with BFF like finally! Had so much fun with them during that week, but I'll definitely be back soon! Cause I'm not done with the shopping yet!
Look forward for another trip with BFF any time sooner?

November & December
Favourite month of the year! You would understand the reason from the photos right?

Overall, my 2015 isn't too bad, cause I have everything I want. Looking forward to have a better and wonderful 2016, and at least let me become a ACCA affiliate this year! *make a wish*

Hey 2016, please be good to me kay? I promise I'll continue to fight for what I want. Fighting !
